Commentary Row Begins After Badrinaths Remarks on Krunal Pandya
Subramanian Badrinath was on the Tamil commentary panel in the RCB vs MI clash. When the match went intense, he said something unusual about Krunal Pandya who was suffering from cramps. Badrinath said that Krunal should die from the cramps, as it has triggered a controversy.

Subramanian Badrinath has caught the headlines after a long time. Former Indian and CSK player is currently a part of the Tamil commentary panel in the Indian Premier League. Yesterday in the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians, he might have said something which triggered the fans to a great extent.
It happened at the time when Krunal Pandya stood as the lone warrior for RCB. He was suffering from cramps, and even received medical attention from the team medics and physios. Later when he fell down after smashing a six to Allah Ghazanfar, Ryan Rickelton also stepped up to help Pandya recover quickly.
At this moment, S Badrinath was in the commentary panel and said something unusual. He said, “Look there, he already had a cramp in his leg... it's as if the opposition said, 'Hey, you die from that cramp!' - but even then, it's okay (Rickleton helped him).”
Our Take
Subramanian Badrinath was joking when he said this in context of the game. This was due to the fact that Ryan Rickelton came to help Pandya when he fell down on the crease. He jokingly said that Rickelton must have left Krunal Pandya to die at that time, as he was playing against his team. But his words have been taken in a whole different manner, rather than being taken as sarcasm. Neither Krunal Pandya nor Subramanian Badrinath have made out any statements after this controversy has erupted.
