Everton manager Marco Silva has been given three games to save his job but is under no uncertain terms it is hanging by a thread. Everton have suffered a torrid start to the Premier League campaign as they have managed just 2 wins out of 8 despite spending €120 million in the transfer market.

Everton manager Marco Silva is the favourite to get sacked with the club on a four-game losing run in the Premier League. However, the Daily Star has reported that Silva has been told that his job is safe for now as the Everton owners feel that he needs time to turn things around. The report further adds that the owners are more than ready to give him a proper chance to mend things. The former Watford manager’s team lie in the relegation zone above Norwich City and Watford and the Daily Star’s report further added that the Everton board are yet to make a final shortlist of potential replacements.

The Portuguese manager was handed a huge transfer kitty to spend and turn the Toffees back into a true powerhouse that could challenge the top 6. Sadly, their trajectory has been completely opposite as the Goodison Stadium side have failed to produce the desired results despite spending €120 million in the transfer market.  Reports had emerged that David Moyes was interested in his old job at Goodison should Silva get sacked but it is now understood that there has been no contact from either side.

The 42-year-old will need to win against his former side Watford in the Carabao Cup to keep his hopes alive after a recent meeting with Farhad Moshiri turned the heat on Silva to start delivering what he had promised.
