Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close watch on Championship side Fulham’s rising star Steven Sessegnon. Incidentally, Sessegnon just happens to be the twin brother of Tottenham’s latest acquisition Ryan Sessegnon, who was signed for £25m from the Cottagers this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur tried to sign Steven Sessegnon alongside Ryan Sessegnon this transfer window, according to reports from The Sun. The club offered £3 million as part of a double deal, but Fulham’s representatives were not ready to part with both of the Sessegnon brothers and were successful in keeping Steven. However, officials at the Craven Cottage fear that Tottenham will be back for the teenager once again, who is proving to be just as talented as Ryan, if not better.

Both the brothers have come up through Fulham’s academy and Steven admits that he looks up to Ryan for inspiration.

He told The Sun, “I use Ryan's career at Fulham to push me on and try and make me do better. Being able to support Ryan on the journey he has had has been brilliant. Looking back on it so far he really did a lot for the club and you can only be thankful for that, and use it as motivation to go on and try and do more.”

The 19-year-old wonderkid has been called up to the England U-21 squad as well and will be facing Turkey and Kosovo. Steven has had a bright start to the year, starting in four of Fulham’s six Championship games this season. Furthermore, the Cottagers believe that the versatile player, who can play at full-back, centre half and in midfield, will be key to their fortunes this season as the club seeks to win promotion back into the Premier League.
