Kylian Mbappe echoed his coach’s views following a Champions League defeat to Benfica, where Madrid were clearly outplayed. He highlighted that champions cannot afford fluctuating standards. Under Arbeloa, the team has shown both extremes, including a dominant 6-1 win over Monaco and a shock Copa del Rey loss to Albacete. While Mbappe has been outstanding with 37 goals in 30 games across competitions, others like Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior have struggled for consistency.
