India have created history as they ended the ISSF World Cup in Mexico by topping the medals tally for the first time with four gold, one silver, and four bronze medals. Two times Olympic champion from the USA, Hancock Vincent, won the gold medal in the final event in the year’s first World Cup.

India for the first time in their history topped a medal tally at the ISSF World Cup when they bagged four gold, one silver and 4 bronze medals in Guadalajara Mexico. Shahzar Rizvi started the World Cup on a high note as he bagged the competition's first gold medal in the 10m Air pistol men event after recording a record-breaking score of 242.3 points in the event.

Manu Bhaker and Mehuli Ghosh scored 572 points and 629.1 points respectively in their 10m Air Pistol and Air Rifle events respectively in the qualifying round which were also world-record scores for the qualifying rounds for juniors. Before the final day’s play India’s Manu Bhaker, Akhil Sheoran, and Om Prakash Mitharval had already won gold medals in their respective events. A silver and three bronze medals was bagged by Anjum Moudgil and Ravi Kumar, Mehuli Ghosh, and Jitu Rai repectively. The Indian 10m Air Rifle mixed team had also stood third in the event.

On the final day, USA’s Hancock Vincent won the final gold of the World Cup when he won the men’s skeet event with a score of 123 out of 125 in the qualifying round and with a world record equalling 59 out of 60 in the final round.

Paul Adam matched Hancock’s final score but lost to the American in the shootout with a 6-5 score.
