For the first time in Olympic history, India will compete in Dressage, the first quota in equestrian. Earlier, the tri-colour nation had seven participants at the Summer Games. Anshul Agarwalla won a bronze medal in the latest Asian Games and qualified for the Olympics in the Dressage event.
In the event, the equestrian and the horse perform pre-determined movements under low rail in a specific area. The horse is not allowed to breach the determined boundaries.
