Calgary: Indian qualifier Aditya Jagtap's gallant show ended at the semi-final stage with third seed Kyle Finch of England beating him 11-8, 11-9, 10-12, 11-7 in the Mount Royal University Open, a PSA world tour event held here.

It was not an easy path though for the Englishman with Aditya even grabbing a game. The whole tussle lasted just a minute short of an hour.

Jagtap had emerged as an underdog challenger in the PSA World Tour when he stunned fifth seed Mark Broeman in the first round with a brilliant win. It was followed by the Indian managing another major upset as he defeated top seed Eric Galvez of Mexico in the quarters, who posed a tough challenge to overcome.
