With Virat Kohli once again put in a Man-of-the-Match performance against Sri Lanka as India booked their place in the 2016 Asia Cup final. The Indian side looked in tremendous form as they decided to trouble the statisticians quite a lot creating numerous records worthy of being noted down.

Here is the list of Records and the Statistical highlights from the India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup match

1 - The best for the first. MSD becomes the first cricketer to hit 200 sixes across the three international formats as a captain.

3 – Number of tosses won by India in the last four T20Is. Incidentally, they had called it right only once in 13 T20Is before that.

3 – Number of T20I half-centuries Virat Kohli has scored in the last 3 innings against Sri Lanka. His scores against them - 68, 77 and 56*.

4 – Number of Indian players to have hit 100 fours in T20Is. Rohit Sharma yesterday became the fourth to do so.

8 – Number of T20I half-centuries Virat Kohli has scored while chasing. Interestingly, that is 3 more than the T20I 50s he has while batting first.

9 – Number of wickets the"Caught Suresh Raina, bowled R Ashwin" combination has now. That makes them the most successful fielder-bowler combination in T20Is in the world.

9 – Number of times MS Dhoni has remained not-out out of India’s 13 successful chases in T20Is. Only Cameron White has a better record than him, who has been not-out nine times out of 12 successful chases.

10 - Number of innings in this Asia Cup (main round), where the team has lost at least 2 wickets in the powerplay.

13.28 – The average opening stand in the seven games of this Asia Cup. Only twice has there been an opening stand of more than 20 runs in 14 innings.

Missed Record -

Hardik Pandya took 3 wickets in 3 balls in Asia Cup. He got 2 in 2 versus Pakistan and a wicket off the first ball in Sri Lanka. But this is not considered a hat-trick since a hat-trick is completed only if it is in the same match.

           46, 2, 4, 0, 0, 20, 5, 11, 6, 11!
