Former India captain and current President of the Cricket Association of Bengal Sourav Ganguly said on Friday that he does not meet the qualification criteria required for the BCCI President’s job. That seat was vacated by Shashank Manohar, who had stepped down on Tuesday, to become ICC Chairman.

"I don't think I meet the qualification criteria, have only been the CAB president for 6-7 months," Ganguly told reporters at the Kolkata, reported IANS.

Ganguly became the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) last October after the demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya. When asked by reporters about the next President of the BCCI, the 43-year-old said, "Difficult to say. There are a lot of experienced people who can take up the job, I am not thinking about it."

After stepping down from the post of BCCI President on Tuesday, Shashank Manohar was unanimously elected as ICC Chairman on Thursday.
