Gunmen open fire on Afghan cricketer Shapoor Zadran
Afghanistan's left-arm pacer Shapoor Zadran has reportedly escaped from a near-death scenario after some unknown gunmen opened fire on him in the nation's capital of Kabul. The Afghanistan Cricket Board has not given any official update on the player or the attack as of yet.

But according to the report, Zadran managed to escape. Sources close to Zadran revealed that this is not the first instance of unidentified gunmen carrying out failed attacks on the cricketer.
No group or individual has come out to claim responsibility for the incident and the Afghanistan Cricket Board is also yet to react towards the reported attack on Zadran.
Zadran has recently represented Afghanistan cricket team in the quadrangular series against Netherlands, Scotland and Ireland in July 2016.
