Jasprit Bumrah has taken offence to the usage of the bowler's picture overstepping during the Champions Trophy final against Pakistan in a hoarding by the Jaipur traffic police. The picture was used to promote pedestrian awareness about not crossing the white line while crossing the road.

In the Champions Trophy final against Pakistan, Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman was adjudged out on 3 when he nicked a Bumrah delivery to MS Dhoni. But the replays suggested that the bowler had overstepped while releasing the ball and Zaman cashed in on that opportunity and went on to score a match-winning century.

Jaipur City Traffic Police used the no-ball as a meme on its posters with the image with two cars behind a line on one side and Bumrah's no ball on the other carrying a caption - "Don't cross the line. You know it can be costly". But that didn’t go well with Bumrah though as he tweeted his displeasure about it.

Taken aback by Bumrah’s comments, Jaipur police instantly clarified their intention via their Twitter handle and said that their intention was not to hurt the sentiments of Bumrah or those of cricket fans and also called Bumrah “a youth icon and inspiration”.
