Mithali Raj breaks all-time record of consecutive half-centuries
Indian women’s skipper Mithali Raj has scored her seventh consecutive ODI half-century, breaking the past record of six consecutive fifties. Raj, coming in at No.3, capitalized on the strong start provided by the openers and with her composed 71-run innings, she took India to a colossal 281/3.
Raj, inarguably, the strongest force of Indian women's cricketing circle, found herself in awe-inspiring form with six back-to-back fifties before coming into the World Cup opener against England at Derby.
