IPL 2018 | Mike Hesson rates Kane Williamson amongst top 5 batsmen of the world
New Zealand coach, Mike Hesson has heaped praises on Kane Williamson and included him in his list of current top five batsmen in the world. Hesson stated that Kiwi captain has the skill and will to adapt to any format and relies on timing rather than hitting the ball hard to score runs.

Williamson has scored five half-centuries so far in the IPL this season and his highest score has been 84. Asked whether Williamson was the best batsman in the World, Hesson said, "Look, I wouldn't say that." But he was quick to add him among the top five batsmen of the world at the moment.
"There are four-five (players) who are extremely good. (India and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper) Virat Kohli is one, Joe Root (of England is) exceptionally good. Steve Smith (Australia), Kane Williamson, they are probably the four at the moment around the world, and AB de Villers when he is playing. They are good in different conditions (and) they stand out. It's nice to have a New Zealand batsman as one of those top five," added Hesson.
