India vs Australia | We’ve almost played an away series, claims Jason Behrendorff
Jason Behrendorff has revealed that the ongoing series against India feels like an away series due to the massive amount of Indian supporters that have flocked to watch them play. More than 31,000 fans were at the Gabba for the opener, while the attendance at the MCG on Friday was around 63,439.
India take on Australia in a do-or-die encounter today at in Sydney after the last T20I on Friday had to be abandoned due to bad weather conditions. Many people questioned if India could replicate their dominance on home soil on tour in foreign nations but what if Australia turns out to be India’s home, away from home?

Australia T20 captain Aaron Finch also revealed that he was impressed with how many fans decided to stay back at the MCG despite the rain and unfavourable weather conditions.
“Freezing and sleety-type conditions, it was amazing how many people came out and supported. We know how passionate the Indian fans are and there were certainly a lot of them there and in Brisbane. It’s great to have big crowds in Australia again. It’s always a great rivalry. Winning the series is obviously huge and means a lot to us,” Finch added.
