Talk about a happy space and that is exactly where the former Indian and current Chennai Super Kings skipper is at the moment. Ahead of the IPL, the CSK fans have been seeing a pressure less Dhoni, who smashes sixes to open his hands and spends playing hide and seek with pitch invaders.

No matter how much one claims Virat Kohli to be the most important player for India in the upcoming World Cup, no Indian player would be arriving the tournament with as much pressure as Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The wicket-keeper batsman has been India’s lynchpin in limited-over cricket with brains from behind the stumps and Kohli would have to rely heavily on his mentor in the extravaganza.

CSK winning the IPL last season was as effortless as it could be. After a large part of the old core was retained, many had criticized the side’s recruitment policy. But, the side kept finding one match-winner after other in every game and eventually lifted the title by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad. Dhoni had credited it the fambience in the CSK camp where the players had a great time with their families.

This season shouldn’t be any different as the core remains the same and Dhoni looks as happy as ever. After 140 seconds of madness with the bat previous evening, CSK’s twitter handle released a video of Dhoni trying to evade a fan who had come on the pitch. After trying to hide behind bowling mentor Lakshmipathy Balaji for few seconds, Dhoni ran across the pitch with the fan following him.

Eventually, Dhoni did meet him by shaking his hands but didn’t want to take a picture as the fan requested. A similar incident also happened during India’s recently concluded ODI series with Australia where a pitch invader had interrupted the match and Dhoni had made him run quite a few yards.
