Some players bring an extra spark of enthusiasm, often leading to amusing exchanges. Such was the case during the India and Australia XI game at Canberra where Sarfaraz Khan found himself at the centre of a comical moment when Hanno Jacobs inadvertently double-touched the ball with his bat.

‌The Prime Minister’s XI had a rough start with Matt Renshaw and Jayden Goodwin falling cheaply, but Sam Konstas and Jack Clayton steadied the innings, taking the score to 76/2 in 16 overs. Konstas was in great form, attacking the Indian bowlers and reaching a half-century off 48 balls. The pair carried the score to 124/2 in 22 overs, but momentum shifted when Harshit Rana dismissed Clayton and Oliver Davies in the 23rd over. Rana continued his brilliant spell, taking two more wickets in the 25th over, leaving the PM’s XI at 133/6, while a humorous moment involving Sarfaraz Khan and Hanno Jacobs added some light-heartedness to the game.

On the fifth ball of the 29th over, Washington Sundar bowled a good-length delivery on the stumps. Hanno Jacobs stayed back and blocked the ball, but in doing so, he made contact with it twice, pushing it gently towards the bowler. Sarfaraz Khan, who was keeping wicket in place of Dhruv Jurel, then stepped in front of Jacobs and humorously gestured to him, pointing out how he had touched the ball twice. The moment caught the attention of fans on Twitter, and it quickly became a topic of conversation on social media with many finding it amusing.
