When the crowd's against you, being at your peak fitness is more crucial than ever. Devon Conway left no stone unturned away from home, as he pulled off a scintillating catch to spill milk in head coach Gautam Gambhir’s plan to promote Sarfaraz Khan over local boy KL Rahul when India was struggling.

India’s decision to bat first under overhead conditions did not bore sweet fruits as the top order fell prey to the new ball’s lateral movement coupled with acrobatic fielding. With Tim Southee cleaning up Rohit Sharma and Will O’Rourke getting the better of Virat Kohli early, Sarfaraz Khan made it to the crease at No. 4. However, the Mumbaikar failed to gleam with the bat, courtesy of a tremendous grab from Devon Conway.

After middling the first two deliveries without a desired result, Sarfaraz ended up playing a false stroke on the fourth ball of the tenth over against Matt Henry. He pushed at a length ball outside the stumps and was too early into it as the red cherry lobbed up towards the right of short extra cover region. Conway there, reached out with his right hand and the ball stuck at his palm firmly despite the Kiwi falling on his body. It took an acrobatic effort from Conway to compel Sarfaraz’s dismissal, spilling milk into Gambhir’s plan to promote him over hometown lad KL Rahul. The Twitterverse was left in awe of Conway’s efforts but seemed divided over the No. 4 position.
