It's crucial to stay authentic and put forth your best effort when playing as part of a team. However, Imad Wasim’s commitment was questioned in the recent Caribbean Premier League clash against Barbados Royals as his lack of effort cost the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons a boundary.

Playing their first game of the tournament, the Royals backed themselves to chase the target after winning the toss. On the back of disciplined bowling, the troops were able to curb the Falcons for 145/9, courtesy of an Obed McCoy three-fer. They were equally good with the bat as Quinton de Kock and Rahkeem Cornwall offered a flying start with an 80-run opening stand under their name. With the Falcons’ bowlers toiling for wickets, the fielders let them down with Imad’s lack of effort being the talk of the town.

The scoreboard reflected 119/1 in 13 overs when Mohammad Amir was asked to fragment the building second-wicket partnership between Quinton de Kock and Shamar Brooks. The left-arm pacer dished a short ball outside the stumps that sat up nicely to de Kock. The batter waited for the ball and nicely helped it on its way fine of third man. However, the pace of the ball slowed down and Imad sprinting from third man gave up chasing the white rock in full fledge halfway through his effort. The Pakistani all-rounder slowed down, allowing the ball to touch the ropes, costing his team a boundary.

The Twitterverse spotted Imad’s poor fitness and lack of commitment to the game and lambasted him on social media.

Ridiculous!

Why?

What happened to him?

Very much!

LOL!

Hahaha!

Terrible!

Players like this are playing cricket!

Very much!

Look so real!
