Fitness is undeniably a crucial aspect of playing sports, yet some players face heavy criticism for their fitness levels. However, Azam Khan defied such judgments during the Caribbean Premier League match between the Saint Lucia Kings and Guyana Amazon Warriors by pulling off a spectacular catch.

‌Faf du Plessis's struggles in the CPL continued, as he fell cheaply once again after Saint Lucia was put into bat. The Proteas star was dismissed in the second over, dealing an early blow to the Kings' top order. The situation worsened when Ackeem Auguste and Bhanuka Rajapaksa were also dismissed before the powerplay, leaving the hosts in further trouble. To add to their woes, Johnson Charles followed soon after, falling victim to a spectacular catch by Azam Khan.

On the fourth ball of the sixth over, Keemo Paul bowled a full-length delivery outside the off stump. Charles attempted to drive it through the off-side but failed to time the shot properly. Instead of racing towards the boundary, the ball caught the slightest edge of his bat and sailed behind him. All eyes turned to Azam Khan behind the stumps as he immediately sensed the opportunity. In a split second, Khan moved with lightning reflexes, leaping to his right as the ball curved away from him. He ultimately managed to clutch the ball in both hands, completing a breathtaking catch mid-air.
