Few individuals bring a different aura with them when it comes to the sport of cricket. Although Rohit Sharma’s on-field persona is unique in itself, his style of opening the account with back-too-back sixes, one of which went to the rooftop was one of the prime highlights of the second session.

Resuming after a couple of days' hiatus due to poor weather, the Bangladesh side got to a total of 233 runs on the back of Mominul Haque’s twelfth Test century. Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers with a three-fer as India picked up four wickets in quick succession at the start of the second session, having already bagged a three in the morning session. With just four and a half sessions to play with in the game, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s defense in the first ball was followed by three fours in the same over.
Complementing with the aggressive intent, the Mumbaikar welcomed Khaled Ahmed in the series with a bludgeoning six on the first ball of the second over. Khaled bowed and came over the wicket to dish a length ball into the Indian captain who stepped down the strip to heave it across the line over long. The ball remained at the top of the rooftop for a long time before being fetched. Right after, the bowler gifted the 37-year-old with a short ball, and Rohit couldn’t help but pull it over the deep square leg region for yet another six.

Seeing the Indian side go for a result in the Test despite one and a half days left, the Twitterverse exploded as the hosts gained authority.
