Pat Cummins Set to Play for Sunrisers Hyderabad from This Game.

Sunrisers Hyderabad might have to go to the clash against Chennai Super Kings without their primary captain, Pat Cummins. He has joined the team's camp but was not a part of the lineup for the clash against Chennai Super Kings. Cummins had joined the team on 17 April, and the clash against CSK was set to be played on 18.

So, with Cummins having less time to practice and prepare himself for the game, Ishan Kishan remained the team's choice to lead. However, Kishan won't be leading the team for more games now, as Cummins has joined the camp, and he is already fit to play. The reason he went back to Australia was to have his final tests and fitness tests conducted.

Eventually, it has been concluded that he is ready to play full games and bowl full spells in the IPL. He has joined Sunrisers Hyderabad and according to the reports, Cummins will be playing for the team in their upcoming match against Rajasthan Royals.

Our Take

Since the reports say that Cummins will play on 25 April, it remains to be seen what will be the call of Sunrisers Hyderabad for the same. The team still has a match to play on 21 April against Delhi Capitals, but Cummins participation in the same is still not clear to the fans. However, his return to the team adds more depth to their bowling line-up and brings more to its captaincy, since he led them to the finals in 2024.
