English Premier League outfit Chelsea have set a price tag of €30 million for the want-away full-back Marcos Alonso who has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge. Serie A giants Inter Milan and AS Roma have expressed interest in signing the Spanish defender and are willing to make a move in January.

According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea have put a €30 million price tag on their left back Marcos Alonso. Marcos Alonso has become a frustrated figure at Stamford Bridge and is desperate to move out of the club in order to find better playing opportunities. The arrival of Frank Lampard in the summer has seen Emerson Palmieri become the first-choice left-back, with Alonso linked with a move away after losing his spot in the starting eleven.

Alonso signed for the Blues from Fiorentina in 2016 for €23 million and reports have indicated that Chelsea’s hierarchy are willing to let Alonso leave the club but are hoping to generate funds in the region of €30 million. The news will be a bad one for the Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan who were eager to sign the left-back on a loan deal with an option to make it permanent for fee in the region of €20 million. AS Roma have been keen too on the Spanish international but a high price tag might change their mind.

Alonso moved to the Stamford Bridge in 2016 and he flourished under Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 formation but last season the former Fiorentina player struggled under Maurizio Sarri as he wasn’t a regular in the Italian’s plans. Under Frank Lampard, the 28-year-old has played a few games but struggled to perform as a left-back in Lampard's 4-3-3. This has seen the former Derby County manager trust Emerson and Cesar Azpilecueta as left-backs leaving Alonso in no-man's land.
