Reports | Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha submits transfer request to Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha has submitted a transfer request with the idea of leaving the club for a bigger European side. The former Manchester United star has previously revealed a desire to play European football and believes that he is at the right age to make that move.
Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha has submitted a transfer request reports Sky Sports, with the Ivory Coast international looking to try and make a move before the summer window close. The 26-year-old has already reiterated a decision to move on from his time at Crystal Palace, eyeing a move to a bigger club capable of giving him European football.
Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal have been among the former Manchester United forward’s top suitors this over the last few months, but it’s Arsenal who have made the first move. The Gunners have already submitted a bid worth around £40 million plus three players to sweeten the deal for the 26-year-old. But the Eagles immediately rejected that offer, which has led to Zaha submitting a transfer request just days after he returned from participating in the AFCON.
Sky Sports has further added that Arsenal is Zaha’s preferred destination but he is open to join any club that can and will offer him European football. The Gunners have their own issues from Laurent Koscienly’s issues with the club all the way to the fact that Gabriel Martinelli has been their only move so far. This is despite being linked with moves for Kieran Tierney, William Saliba and Zaha himself.
