Women's Individual Stroke Play

Diksha Dagar was faring excellently on the second day, managing two birdies and 15 pars across the first 17 holes to be tied in third. However, yet another horrid finish with a double bogey means she has slumped down the tied-13th with a score of -1.

Aditi, meanwhile, had to contend with two early bogeys but surged back with four birdies on the trot. However, another bogey in the second half means she stays at a modest -1 too alongside Diskha.

Men's Individual Stroke Play

UPDATE

It was a decent day out in the green for the two Indians but nothing to boast about. Both Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Singh Bhullar managed two shots under par in Round 2 but the gap to the top only grew. The leading pack is now sitting pretty 11 shots under par at the halfway stage and it looks like a mountain to climb for the Indian duo here on. They would need no less than a flawless day of golf today to keep any outside chances of a medal alive.

Men's Individual Stroke Play Round 1

Gaganjeet struggled big time on the opening day of the affair, as he started with two bogies. The veteran had however recovered well with three birdies and a par, thus heading into the final hole with a +1. Therein came the downfall as Gaganjeet shot a +4 in a par hole of 4, thus slumping right down to the bottom of the 60-man field.

Shubhankar, on the other hand, enjoyed quite a contrasting day in the office. He started off quietly with two pars but an eagle in the third bode him well for the rest of the day. Three bogeys and a birdie in the second half meant his score read -1, a gettable seven shots off the leader Hideki Matsuyama's -8.
