16-year-old Manu Bhaker continued her golden form in the ISSF World Cup by winning a second consecutive gold on Monday in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event alongside Om Prakash Mitharval. On Sunday, Bhaker had clinched her first gold in her debut campaign in the 10m Air Pistol solo event.

There seem to be no stopping Bhaker at the moment as the young woman pistol shooter jumps from success to success with every passing game. India now has seven medals as they stand tall at the top of the medals tally in Mexico and a huge chunk of credit goes to the youngster from Haryana.

In the individual event, the young debutant shot a total of 237.5 to stay ahead of local favourite Alejandra Zavala Vazquez, who managed to finish second with a total of 237.1. The third place was taken by Frenchwoman Celine Goberville with a score of 217.0.

The next mixed team event saw Manu and Mitharval summing up a total of 476.1 in the final, and that led India to its third gold medal.

India also clinched bronze a medal in the 10m Air Rifle mixed team event as Mehuli Ghosh and Deepak Kumar finished with a total of 435.1. The gold was won by Chinese duo Xu Hong and Chen Keduo, who set up a world record score of 502.
