Defending champions Chennai Lions continued their dominant show as they stormed into the final of the IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis Season 4 after crushing Puneri Paltan Table Tennis 8-3 in the second semi-final at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge-Balewadi in Pune on Saturday.

Chennai Lions had little trouble to overcome the final challenge as Dabang Delhi lost their rhythm on the crucial stage to lose the tie 1-8 and finish as the runner-up. The biggest win for the day was Tiago Apolonia blanking Dabang’s G. Sathiyan to inflict the huge hit and taking the tie away.

After a loss in the first tie of the in Ultimate Table Tennis season three, the Chennai Lions came back to winning ways with a thumping 10-5 win over Puneri Paltan at the Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. Germany’s Petrissa Solja and Portugal’s Tiago Apolonia starred for the Lions.
