Ultimate Table Tennis, which was set to enter its fourth season this year, has been postponed indefinitely owing to the Covid-19 pandemic situation. With most of the sporting events stalled around the globe and the Tokyo Olympics pushed back by a year, the decision was inevitable.

Chennai Lions had little trouble to overcome the final challenge as Dabang Delhi lost their rhythm on the crucial stage to lose the tie 1-8 and finish as the runner-up. The biggest win for the day was Tiago Apolonia blanking Dabang’s G. Sathiyan to inflict the huge hit and taking the tie away.

Goa Challengers got back on track with a thumping 11-4 win against Puneri Paltan, who needed to win at least seven points to catch up with Goa and qualify, but that was too big an ask. For the Challengers, A Amalraj was the hero as he turned the tables before Archana Kamath finished off the task.

Manav Thakkar and Doo Hoi Kem starred, winning both their singles matches and the mixed doubles clash, as U Mumba routed the Goa Challengers 11-4 in the 2019 edition of Ultimate Table Tennis. Meanwhile, Kirill Gerassimenko caught the public eye with his artistry, despite losing his match.
