Having lost the first T20I match against Sri Lanka, India made a great comeback into the series in the next two matches with resounding wins over the visitors. India wrapped up the T20I series 2-1 in dominating fashion and there were numerous records tumbling along the path.

Top team record - India have never lost a bilateral series at home across the three formats (Test/ODI/T20I) to Sri Lanka.
Top individual record - R Ashwin’s figures of 4-1-8-4 are the best figures by an Indian in a T20I.
0 - Number of times India had lost their first 2 wickets in the first over in T20Is, before the 1st T20I. Their earliest was in 7 balls, also versus Sri Lanka, Colombo (RPS) in 2008-09.
1 - Number of times Sri Lanka have lost more than six wickets in the first 10 overs of the inningsbefore today. It was versus Australia at Cape Town, 2007 WT20, when they were all out for 101.
