Against all odds, India won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 and thus was ushered in the era of T-20. After that, a tournament like IPL was inevitable. Teams were made, players auctioned and Icon Players lined up. The tone was set, the net was cast and the Cricketing world was hooked proper. IPL started off with a big bang and has only got bigger ever since. Eight editions of IPL have been played thus far and currently, the ninth edition is building itself up to a cacophonous crescendo as it approaches the playoffs. The nine editions would have produced 584 matches, hundreds of thousands of runs, thousands of wickets, glittering centuries, spectacular catches, stirring performances and many a splendid player. But who is the greatest of them all? Who is that one player who has had the maximum impact and has defined the IPL like no other?
We have done our homework and have come up with a list of the 16 greatest IPL players of all time. It will be a knock-out competition. Each day, you will see head to head matchups, with the winner progressing to the next round. The round of 16 will be followed by the Quarter-Finals, then the Semi-Finals and ultimately the Grand Finale to determine the Greatest IPL player of all Time. So what are you waiting for?
