Almost two years after he retired from the longer format of the sport, MS Dhoni revealed that he does miss playing Test cricket, but affirmed that he did make the right decision. The limited-overs skipper also talked about how India's bowling strength will give them the edge in the Caribbean series.

Arguably India's greatest captain across formats, MS Dhoni did not have the best record in Tests and retired midway through the series Down Under in December 2014. Captain Cool, however, retained captaincy in the other two formats of the game even as the team struggles to find an able replacement for him in the Test squad, let alone across formats. Speaking at an event in Gurgaon on Wednesday, Dhoni said, "You never lose the cricket bug. Even if you leave the game you try to stay connected to the game. I miss Test cricket because it's challenging but I made the right decision," reported NDTV.

The 35-year-old is having an extended time off after the Zimbabwe tour that India won comfortably. With the Indian team touring the West Indies for a four-Test series, Dhoni has been having quality time with family and appears to have zero regrets with the decision indeed. Dhoni has also had a good stint with the limited-overs sides leading India to the semifinals in both the ODI and T20 World Cups.

The wicketkeeper-batsman felt that India hold the edge in the Caribbean face-off thanks to the bench strength of the squad in the bowling department.

"The good thing about our bowling is that we have a pool of talent and all are fit. The Caribbean wickets may have slowed but you still get help," said Dhoni.
