Yuzvendra Chahal has heaped praise on the guidance of MS Dhoni stating that he always advises the players which helps them give their best. Chahal has also added that Virat Kohli allows the bowlers to bowl to their strengths and doesn't get bothered if they go for runs while searching for wickets.

India's wrist-spin combination of Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav started their away sojourn on a brilliant note and underscored their wicket-taking prowess even on the foreign soil. But the two had a street-smart Dhoni to thank for their success on a surface that had always been a pacer's paradise. Chahal claimed five wickets conceding only 22 runs in 8.2 overs which helped India take a 2-0 lead in the six-match ODI series and after the man-of-the-match performance, he gave credit to the former Indian skipper for helping the players throughout the game.

"From behind the stumps, Mahi Bhai (MS Dhoni) always keeps advising you. He knows what the batsman is going to try. It makes it easier for us," Chahal said as quoted by PTI.

While crediting the former skipper, Chahal didn't forget to credit Kohli and said that the skipper always boosts players' morale even if they lacked in some part of the game which helped them in giving their best without any pressure.

"Virat bhai tells us it doesn't matter if we are hit for a six, but we must bowl to our strength. If your strength is to pitch it up, then go for it. When your captain tells you that, you don't have to worry even if you have been hit for two or three sixes, you get confidence," said Chahal.

South African batsmen lacked the intent to play positive cricket yesterday and despite the presence of experienced stars like JP Duminy and Hashim Amla, they failed to make a mark in the match and got out by playing rash shots. Duminy and debutant Khaya Zondo were the highest scorer for the side as they both contributed 25 runs each. Chahal picked Duminy’s wicket as the best wicket of the match.

"I think Duminy's wicket was the best (of all five) because he is a left-hander. I have played with him in the IPL and he can change his game towards the end overs. So it was our plan to bowl slower to him and it worked. Whilst playing on flat tracks, you have to vary your pace. You cannot bowl at one pace. Or the batsmen will get used to it. We are bowling the way we bowl in India. We are just bowling to our strengths and we are reading the pitches very well," he said.
