Dale Steyn picks Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag in his dream Test XI
Dale Steyn has put together his all-time Dream Test XI and has included two Indian batsmen - Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar as part of the list. The set of players also include the likes of former South Africa skipper Graeme Smith and legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne as well.
With 419 wickets from 86 Test matches, Steyn is certainly considered to be one of the most feared pacers of all time. Steyn dominated the number one spot in the ICC test rankings during the peak of his career, for a record 263 weeks between 2008 and 2014.
And when someone of the stature of Steyn produced the list of his Dream Test XI, it is bound to create some intrigue. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the pacer revealed his dream Test XI which included two Indian batsmen - Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. Steyn chose the explosive Indian opener Sehwag along with his former South African skipper Graeme Smith, whom he also chose as his captain, to open the innings for his side.
Steyn chose the likes of Hashim Amla and Sachin Tendulkar in the number three and four spots in the batting line-up. He then added the likes of Jacques Kallis, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), AB de Villiers, Andrew Flintoff as the middle-order of his team.
The 35-year old fast bowler then included British all-rounder Andrew Flintoff and former Australian wrist spinner Shane Warne as part his Dream XI. He completed his all-time XI with Pakistan seamer Wasim Akram and Australian great Glen McGrath which ensured a formidable bowling attack down the order.
