I just can’t get enough of Ambati Rayudu, chants Mark Wood
Mark Wood and his Durham boys feature in a new video posted on the Chennai Super Kings’ Facebook page where they sing and chant, “I just can’t get enough of Ambati Rayudu”. Though Wood left early on this IPL season, he did have a memorable time playing alongside Rayudu and still follows up on CSK.
Mark Wood left the IPL midway after having just played one match for Chennai Super Kings but in this time he had already made some good friends including Ambati Rayudu. Wood had left for England to play Domestic cricket for his county side Durham during England’s cricket season.
The England fast bowler still keeps an eye on his IPL team and he created a chant and made his teammates join him as well to sing for Rayudu. Chennai Super Kings’ Facebook page posted this video of the Durham boys led by ‘Brother Mark’ chanting: “When I see Chennai, I know I'm on my way. I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough...all the things you do to me and all the things you say, I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough. Because when you cut and drive I just can't get enough of Du Du Du Du Du Du...Ambati Rayudu”.
Rayudu has been in great touch this season as the Hyderabadi has smashed 535 runs from 12 matches at an average of 48.36 for CSK. Rayudu’s maiden century against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday set the stage for CSK to easily win with eight wickets and an over to spare. He remained not-out on exactly 100 from 62 balls which included seven fours and as many sixes. He has smashed 29 sixes and 48 boundaries overall in this season of the IPL and his maiden ton ensured that CSK qualified for the
"Even before IPL started I had to make space for Rayudu, because he is somebody I rate him very highly. He can play both the fast bowlers and spinners very well. Most teams look to exploit the opener with spin bowling. He is someone who doesn't look like a big hitter but almost clears the field every time he plays the big shot. My plan was to make Rayudu open and if Kedar was fit, he will bat at 4 or 5," CSK skipper Dhoni said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
It is interesting to know that Rayudu might come up against his buddy Mark Wood if he gets to play in India’s middle-order in the 50-over series as the 32-year-old is named in India’s three-match ODI squad against England in July.
