VIDEO | Virat Kohli fails to control his laughter as Kuldeep Yadav resorts to false run-up again
David Willey went as far as questioning Kuldeep Yadav’s spirit of cricket when the spinner stopped on the delivery stride to confuse the batsmen. Though it created a rage back then, it hardly impacted Kuldeep who did it against Marcus Stoinis and Virat Kohli couldn’t help his laughter.
In the second match of the T20 series against England, Kuldeep hadn't completed his delivery after running in, perhaps getting a hint of which area Jos Buttler was targeting against him. When he did the same thing for the second time in the same over, both Buttler and non-striker Alex Hales had complained to the umpire. But, that hardly mattered as Bhuvneshwar Kumar stopped on his strides in the last over of the innings, which had even propelled Willey to question the Indians’ spirit of cricket.
But it seems like the Indians didn’t learn a lesson from the same as Kuldeep was found doing it once again against Australia. After dismissing Chris Lynn on the first ball of the 11th over, it seemed like the spinner was not prepared against the new RCB recruit as Stonis swept him for a couple.
The chinaman bowler then planned to bowl the ball on leg-stump once again but seeing Stoinis already getting into the position, decided to stop at the delivery stride. It didn’t make Stonis happy and Aussie fans also booed to show their disapproval. Kohli, however, was amused by Kuldeep’s bag of tricks and couldn’t stop himself from laughing.
