Reports | CoA asks for automatic membership to all former international players
CoA has sent an e-mail to all state associations which says that all former international players from their respective states should be given automatic membership. CoA has observed that there is a considerable variance between the membership structures of various state associations.
To implement the Lodha reforms, the BCCI’s Committee of Administrators (CoA) has decided to renew pressure on state associations. According to TOI, it received an e-mail, which CoA sent to all the state associations saying that all former international players from their respective states should be given automatic membership.
The email began reading, “Has received compliance certificates from 27 state associations and is in the process of filling in the status report before the SC with reference to the compliance undertaken by them”.
Further CoA has stated, “While scrutinizing the respective amended constitutions of various state associations, it has observed that there is a considerable variance between the membership structures of various state associations”.
“Some have only individuals as members without any representation given to the affiliated clubs or district associations, others have only district associations as members, still others have a combination of individuals, clubs and/or district associations as members”.
