PSL 2019 | AB de Villiers to play in 2019 edition

AB de Villiers has signed for the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and would definitely be the most important player to watch out for during the PSL player draft. The South African star stated that he is looking forward to be a part of the domestic tournament in the next season.

After retiring from the international cricket earlier this year, South African batsman De Villiers looked all set to showcase his prowess in PSL next season. The all-rounder has been playing in the Indian Premier League for 11 years and has an experience of more than 251 matches. He has scored 6649 runs in T20 cricket and has a strike rate of around 150. His performance in T20s includes three hundreds and 45 fifties.

In a video message, De Villiers said, "Pakistan Super League has grown into one of the top T20 tournaments in the world and I've really enjoyed watching PSL matches in recent years. PSL is a league that has given Pakistan so much to cheer about. I certainly can't wait and I'll see you there."

Ehsan Mani, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board has welcomed De Villiers saying, "We are delighted with the signing of de Villiers for Pakistan Super League. He is a modern-day great and he will add immense value to the tournament. His involvement in PSL will also provide great learning opportunities for our youngsters."
