IPL 2019 | Ramiz Raja questions too much intervention by coaches during live matches

Ramiz Raja has stated that once a team enters the ground, the captain should be the main boss and there shouldn’t be any intervention from the coaching staff. Raja has added that the captain is the ultimate man in the ground, and coaches shouldn’t even talk in the pre-game team hurdle in the ground.
It is a very pertinent problem that has surfaced in the Indian Premier League in the last few years as various teams are resorting to being coach-led than captain-led. Say, a Chennai Super Kings have always been a captain-led team, with MS Dhoni being at the epicentre of almost every decision-making while Delhi Capitals are totally being managed by the combo of Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly.
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s case is no different either as Virat Kohli has often taken a backseat in the death-overs while the team has been fed up by Ashish Nehra regularly in the sideline. And Ramiz Raja is not a fan of this as he took to Twitter to express his displeasure for over-intervention by the coaches when it should’ve been the job of the captain to call the shots.
