From Rahul’s hangover century to Hetmyer failing against Saini - Funky Predictions for the 1st T20I
India and West Indies will lock horns with each other in the United States on August 3 as Fort Lauderhill will deck thousands of Indian NRIs on their stands. However, don’t be surprised if KL Rahul smashes yet another T20 century, of course, after hitting the best rooftop dance floors in Miami.
Rohit to run Virat out
Jeez. This can actually happen'. Although it is a proven fact that Rohit Sharma messes things up in the middle, especially when Virat Kohli is at the other end, he ultimately pays it back by scoring a double. Well, this is a T20 but Fort Lauderhill crowd should prepare for at least a century. After all, the “stars” will align together for Indian cricket for the first time since July 10. Do yourself a favour and look out for this one.
Rahul to hit Florida dance floor all night to repeat 2016 feat
It was during the same “Koffee with Karan” episode where Rahul admitted to having been partying all night in Florida ahead of India-Windies T20. Florida is slated to host another T20 series and this should be sufficient reason for Rahul to recreate the feat of scoring a T20 century after pulling off an all-nighter. After all, what better than to have a beer or two with the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other.
Saini to dismiss Hetmyer
This is a behind-the-scenes story for you all. I was present at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium stands when Shimron Hetmyer was practicing against RCB pacers in the nets. For a practice session, it was still too big an audience but Hetmyer, who was earlier considered as a walking wicket, showed his true self by smashing Saini from the word go. There was no respite and if that isn’t enough for Saini to motivate himself to mark his international debut, I wonder, what will?
Evin Lewis not to score a century, finally
Lewis’ first two T20I games against India yielded two centuries before he satisfied himself with a duck when he eventually made his India visit. Talk about arithmetic progression or my gut feel, Lewis will end up with a score below 10. India, forget about other plans, just land that yorker.
Rishabh Pant to slog again
Now that Pant is India's first-choice wicket-keeper, and has sent MS Dhoni down the pecking order, it should be imperative for him to bat with more responsibility but jeez, does Pant know any other way than slogging? The Delhi dude would come and go down on his knees and try unleashing few of his slogs. There will be no other storyline for sure.
Rahul Chahar to bag the "home" bragging rights
For the first time, the BCCI have picked both the Chahar brothers in the team together and as things stand, both might play tomorrow. In that scenario, Rahul will definitely triumph his brother and emerge as the better bowler. Well, it is no Mumbai-Chennai rivalry but then again, wait and watch for the junior Chahar to save Deepak's day.
