England and New Zealand have announced that they will be touring Pakistan for a series later this year and early next year. The two teams who were supposed to travel to the country last year had decided against it due to security concerns but they will be going in the 2022-23 season.
England and New Zealand will be traveling to Pakistan for a series in the 2022-23 calendar year after the host nation released a schedule for the upcoming year on Friday. The schedule states that the English team will travel to Pakistan for a seven-match T20I series in October. After which they will be playing the World Test championship series in November and December.
New Zealand on the other hand, will first play the World Test championship games in December 2022 after which the two nations will play three One Day Internationals as part of the World Cup Super League which will also take place in December and January.
Last year, England and New Zealand had cancelled their tour to Pakistan and they cited security reasons for backing out from the series. However, after Australia's successful tour of Pakistan, England and New Zealand have also decided to travel to Pakistan this time around.
