The flavor of revenge in sports can be bittersweet. In one of the most grueling moments of the second Test between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval, Travis Head ended up taking a screamer to dismiss Mohammed Siraj after their heated exchange on the second day of the contest.

Resuming the third day after India’s horrid performance with the bat on a moving second day, the Indian lower order failed to withstand the pink ball attack from the hosts. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins ran havoc on the Indian lower order, leading to the arrival of Siraj with the bat in the first innings. Although he tried to survive the spells from the Aussies, his stay was cut short by a Travis Head screamer.

Having smacked a four in his short stay, the No. eleven was outfoxed by a short ball while trying to pull Boland. He was in a weird position while trying to heave the opposition captain and ended up with a top-edge flying behind short leg. Head from there ran hard and dived to take a screamer. Following their fiery exchange on the second day, Siraj was seen interacting with Head during his stay with the bat while the latter was at short leg. While the Twitterverse doubted that the Indian pacer wished to bury the hatchet, Head’s one arm punch celebration after the catch split the mass in two halves.
