However, Jos Buttler was caught unawares by the sheer venom of the shot and could not move out of the ball's way in time. The Kookaburra thus struck the retreating batter's thigh and the deflection completely wrong-footed mid-on who had been charging in straight to stop the ball in its tracks.

The umpire had no choice but to signal a four and the Rajasthan pair were all giggles at the same, echoing Twitterati's response to the hilarious incident,

Really disappointed from jaiswal this season, I know you want to play fast but that doesn't mean you will hit any ball, you know there's a huge target so you should play cricketing shots and you are not power hitter, mostly sixes you hit are bcz of your technique. #jaiswal
