Reports | Sunrisers Hyderabad set to retain Klaasen, Cummins, and Abhishek Sharma for IPL 2025

Sunrisers Hyderabad has unveiled their three retentions for IPL 2025 with Pat Cummins Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma to be retained. As per reports, their star batter Travis Head and all-rounder Nitish Reddy will also be retained by the 2016 champions for the upcoming IPL season.

‌According to ESPNcricinfo, Klaasen is set to earn INR 23 crore as the first retained player The franchise has also secured two additional retention agreements with Australian allrounder Pat Cummins who served as Sunrisers captain in 2024 for INR 18 crore and Indian allrounder Abhishek Sharma for INR 14 crore Cummins who guided Sunrisers to the final last season will remain as captain in 2025

Furthermore, reports indicate that Sunrisers Hyderabad SRH is expected to keep Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy although there is no official word on the amounts at which they will be retained The IPL has established October 31 as the deadline for retentions before the mega auction later this year.

The Sunrisers made headlines in IPL 2024 with their explosive batting breaking records and advancing to the finals of the prestigious league. The Proteas star scored 479 runs from 15 innings during IPL 2024 making him the third-highest scorer for Sunrisers. Andhra all-rounder Reddy made his debut for India in the recently completed T20I series against Bangladesh scoring 74 off 34 in his second match demonstrating his value as a dependable contributor for Sunrisers last season with 303 runs and three wickets.
