Rajasthan Royals Manager Gets Fine from ACSU in Dugout Phone Case.

Rajasthan Royals have shown dominance in the IPL 2026, but the team still has faced troubles. And these troubles were not due to their form or any player not being able to deliver his best. It was due to the controversy which came at the time when the team was having its match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

During the match against RCB, the manager of Rajasthan Royals, Romi Bhinder, was spotted using his phone in the team dugout. According to the rules, usage of phones in the dugout is banned, and not even the team managers are allowed to do the same. But it was done by Bhinder and immediately captured on live television.

The Anti-corruption and Security Unit started an investigation on this matter. It went for a couple of days and the results for the same are now out. It is being reported that no legal formalities are required to be done by the team manager, Romi Bhinder. He was given a warning and a fine, while the youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who sat beside him, had no actions taken against him.

Our Take

The actions of the Rajasthan Royals team manager were strictly against the guidelines and it acted as a breach of conduct. But now he has been released from the investigation with just a warning, showing the fact that there are no legal formalities required for the same. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been rightly ignored in this scenario, as he just sat beside the manager when he was using his phone.
