Match Report

Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a brilliant start as usual, with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma attacking from the very first ball. They went on to score 78 runs for no loss in the powerplay, attacking Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rasikh Salam Dar without any issues. Josh Hazlewood was able to break the stand by dismissing Abhishek, but Ishan Kishan held the other end with Travis Head.

The turning point arrived when Suyash Sharma managed to dismiss Travis Head after he scored 74 runs off 35 balls, which halted SRH's momentum. Heinrich Klaasen started a brutal assault in the death overs, taking on Romario Shepherd and Krunal Pandya. This helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to finish their innings at 224/6 in 20 overs.

Replying to this, Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli started the chase well before Virat Kohli accelerated against the spin bowlers. Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma also came to contribute well, as the required run rate started to decrease in the middle overs.
