ISL 2.0 kicked off with the opening ceremony at the Marina Arena on October 3rd. Host Arjun Kapoor tried his best to keep the crowd enthralled as the evening saw star after star descend down upon the arena. But, it was his precious blooper moments, enough to make an epic video, that caught the audience’s imagination more- when he called it ‘Indian Premier League’ instead of ‘Indian Super League’ and 'Delhi Daredevils' instead of 'Delhi Dynamos'.

That’s how much Cricket and Bollywood dominate the collective imagination of this nation. It’s no mean feat, therefore, that the ISL has managed to hold its ground amidst the Ind-SA series and a disastrous Shaandaar release. The edition has produced enough moments of drama- hat-tricks, resignations, upsets, fistfights, whitewashes. The overall fare, however, has been much better and has shown that there is yet hope for football.

Here are 16 tweets that outline the story of the ISL so far.
