Turkey defeated the United States 3-2 in a thrilling FIFA World Cup Group D match, with Kaan Ayhan scoring the winner in the 99th minute. The USA twice came from behind through Auston Trusty and Sebastian Berhalter, but goals from Arda Güler, Barış Alper Yılmaz and Ayhan sealed Turkey's victory.

For the United States, the Group D campaign ended with a thrilling but disappointing 3-2 defeat against Turkey after conceding a dramatic winner in the 99th minute. Despite the loss, the Americans had already secured top spot in the group and qualified for the FIFA World Cup knockout stage with earlier victories over Paraguay and Australia.

The USA made a dream start when defender Auston Trusty scored from a corner in just the 3rd minute, giving his side the lead for the 3rd straight match. Turkey responded quickly in the 10th minute as Arda Guler capitalized on a defensive mistake to level the score. The momentum shifted in Turkey's favour in the 31st minute when Kenan Yildiz delivered a dangerous cross that Baris Alper Yilmaz converted to make it 2-1.

The hosts fought back early in the 2nd half through Sebastian Berhalter, whose low strike from outside the box brought the score back to 2-2. With the match heading towards a draw, Turkey produced one final attack deep into stoppage time. Arda Guler sparked the move before Can Uzun's low cross found Kaan Ayhan, who finished in the 99th minute to seal a dramatic 3-2 victory and hand Turkey an unforgettable win at SoFi Stadium.
