Newly appointed Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to play Pope Francis in an upcoming animation movie Fe. The 53-year-old has been chosen to be the voice of the Argentine Pontiff in Portuguese, Spanish, English, and Italian for the new film, about the Portuguese city of Fatima.

According to media reports, the ‘Special One has agreed to lend his voice to the character of Pope Francis for the animated film to be released in 2017. The film is being made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal. Apparently, the Vatican is right behind the idea and has approved the rather unusual choice.

Imaginew, the Portuguese production company behind the film, confirmed the news that Mourinho will be the voice in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and Italian -- "the languages of the countries where he (Mourinho) has already been a champion,” as per a report by Reuters.

It’s understood that the ‘Special One’ accepted the offer from Imaginew ‘without reticence or demands’. He will donate the fee from the movie to a charity for underprivileged kids.
