ISL 2016 | Indian goalkeeper Amrinder Singh joins Mumbai City FC
Mumbai City FC today announced the signing of Amrinder Singh for ISL 2016. A young and talented player, Singh won the hearts of many during the last season of the Indian Super League with Atletico de Kolkata, and he followed that up by winning the Best goalkeeper of the I-League with Bengaluru FC.
Amrinder Singh studied at the Sports Wing Academy, an institution run by the Punjab government. Starting off as a striker, Singh turned to goalkeeping when his coach steered him in that direction. With his impressive built and natural instincts, the move proved to be a massive turning point in his career.

Amrinder captained the Indian team at the AFC under-23 championship qualifiers in Bangladesh in 2016. He played an important role with Atletico de Kolkata in the last season of the ISL and contributed to Bengaluru FC's 2015-16 title winning season, thus becoming a permanent fixture in the senior national team squad.
