Reports | Inter Milan considering a move for Alexis Sanchez
Serie A giants Inter Milan are interested in a move for Alexis Sanchez, with manager Antonio Conte looking for reinforcements. The Chilean attacker joined Manchester United in the winter of 2018 but has been unable to make a major impact at Old Trafford, struggling with injury problems and game time
According to Sky in Italy, Inter Milan are interested in Alexis Sanchez after a potential move for Edin Dzeko came to a standstill. The Bosnian international has signed a new contract with AS Roma, extending his stay with the club till 2022. The Nerazzurri have already signed Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United, but new coach Antonio Conte wants another forward at the club.
Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio and CEO Beppe Marotta are also looking at options other than Sanchez, which includes the likes of Ante Rebic, Timo Werner, Arkadiusz Milik and former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente. However, Sky have added that the Chilean forward is their top target, thanks to his past in the Serie A, with Sanchez making just short of 100 appearances when he played for Udinese between 2006 and 2011.
Gianluca Di Marzio further reports that Sanchez has agreed to join the Nerazzurri and a deal will be figured out between the two clubs in a couple of days. The Chilean’s agent is now in the UK and is currently working on a loan deal that includes an option to buy after 12 months.
