Alexis Sanchez isn’t yet ready to start for Inter, implies Antonio Conte
Antonio Conte has stated that Alexis Sanchez is not yeat ready to figure in Inter's starting lineup, ahead of the home clash tonight against Lazio. The 30-year-old forward, who arrived at Inter this summer on loan from Manchester United, only played 10 minutes so far with Inter's shirt.
Inter Milan's campaign in the Serie A has begun in full force, with 4 victories in 4 matches, and it's expected that Conte continues to use a formula that has proven that it gets results. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martínez have become the former Chelsea manager's primary strike options in Conte's 3-5-2 scheme, with the Belgian international already scoring 3 goals in 4 matches.
However, with Alexis Sanchez, arriving as well this summer at Inter on loan from Manchester United, looking to re-ignite his career, the Chilean hasn't managed to make Conte's starting eleven so far. He's struggled to put his best foot forward, managing to play only ten minutes in the Serie A so far, and now will not start against Lazio. That comes after Conte's pre-match statement, and the Italian went on to say that when he sees players who are ready to start, he will put them in the starting eleven.
"For him it is worth the words I give for everyone else. When I see ready players, they will be inserted [into the starting line-up]. I have to work in the interest of Inter, not of individuals.' said Inter Milan boss reports the Mirror.
